About
I am Kartik.
I am interested in Programming Languages and Systems and am pursuing these interests in a rigorous academic setting as a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago (UChicago).
I finished my master’s in Computer Science at Brown University. During and around my time at Brown, I did summer internships at Pure Storage and Hewlett Packard Labs. Before that, I worked at Oracle India Development Center, Bangalore as Member Technical Staff. And before that, I finished my BTech in Computer Science & Engineering at National Institute of Technology Calicut in 2013.
This website originally started as a way for me to share things I learned about technology with friends and others interested with the motto — The TechGlider will take you gliding into the world of tech — but overtime it has become a sort of a personal blog and a historical archive of the rest of my blogs (I would someday like to redesign it and rewrite this About page). See my research blog (link below) for more technical material.
